To avoid those swollen legs when driving or flying for long distances, compression stockings are a LIFE SAVER! No literally, they are life saving. It made it very difficult to do this trail quickly, this was the first instance I kicked myself for being so out of shape of many on this trip. I also had swollen legs from sitting for 16 hours in the car.
